Parviz Baghirov

Parviz Baghirov is an experienced education professional with almost 20 years of experience in the field. He currently serves as the Director of the National Erasmus+ Office in Azerbaijan, which is a part of the Education, Culture and Audiovisual Executive Agency of the European Commission. His work is focused on improving the educational system in Azerbaijan, particularly in higher education, by ensuring compliance with the standards and principles of the Bologna Process.

 

Additionally, he works as an independent consultant for the World Bank on the Competitive Innovation Fund for Higher Education and for the United Nations on E-learning (UN APC-ICT). Through these roles, he has led projects with universities and other stakeholders in Azerbaijan and supervised multiple project activities that have contributed to the development of the country's education system.

 

Parviz holds an MA in Digital Technologies, Communication and Education from the University of Manchester in the UK (2013) and a BA in International Relations from the Eastern Mediterranean University in Famagusta, Northern Cyprus (2004).
